Saudi Military Base in Najran Hit by Yemen’s Ballistic Missile

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni army forces fired a domestically-manufactured ballistic missile at a military base in Saudi Arabia’s southern border region of Najran in retaliation for the kingdom’s relentless military aggression against the impoverished Arab country.

Yemen’s Saba news agency reported on Friday that al-Darb military base had been targeted with a short-range Badr-1 missile.

The missile inflicted heavy damage on the camp and killed and injured several Saudi soldiers, the report added, citing a military source.

In a separate development, Yemeni troops on Friday destroyed a military vehicle belonging to Saudi-paid mercenaries in Midi district of Hajjah province, the source added.

The vehicle was destroyed in the north of Midi desert, killing all people on-board.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for over three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
