Iran, South Africa Agree to Facilitate Visa Access

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry and the South African Ministry of Home Affairs agreed to facilitate visa for business activists who intend to travel between the two countries.

According to the recent agreement, Iranian traders and economic activists who apply for a visa to visit South Africa will receive a response within 3 to 5 days.

Likewise, South African nationals, including businessmen and economic activists as well as tourists, can obtain an airport visa to travel to Iran.

Back in June, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif paid a trip to South Africa to hold talks with senior officials of the country about a range of issues, including ways to boost Tehran-Pretoria ties in diverse fields.

Expansion of relations with African nations in all political, economic and cultural fields is top on the agenda of Iran's foreign policy.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has repeatedly stressed his government's interest in boosting relations with African states.
