Iran Football Aims Gold at Deaflympics: Coach

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s deaf football head coach Ghader Teymouri says they want to win the gold medal of the 2022 Deaflympics in Brazil.

The 2022 Deaflympic Games will be held in Caxias do Sul in May next year.

Teymouri says they will hold 10 training camps before participating in the Games.

“We will hold two 10-day camps in month. Our players are in good condition and we want to be on the podium in Brazil,” Teymouri said.

“Iran has won a silver medal in Melbourne 2005 and we want to win the gold medal this time,” he added.

The 24th edition of the Summer Deaflympics will bring together more than 6,000 athletes from almost 100 different nations, in Caxias do Sul.
