Persepolis, Sepahan Victorious in IPL Matchweek 2
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis and Sepahan football teams defeated their opponents in Matchweek 2 of the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
In Tabriz, Persepolis defeated Tractor courtesy of Saeid Sadeghi’s goal in the 42nd minute.
Sepahan also defeated Zob Ahan 2-0 in Isfahan derby in Fooladshahr.
Reza Asadi was on target from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute and Shahriyar Moghanlou made it 2-0 in the 65th minute.
Also, 10-man Foolad lost to Sanat Naft 2-1 in Ahvaz, Mes was held to a 1-1 draw by Nassaji in Rafsanjan and Shams Azar lost to Havadar 2-1 in Qazvin.
On Thursday, Esteghlal will meet Malavan in Tehran.
