Manavinezhad Undergoes Knee Surgery
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Saturnia Catania’s Mohammad Javad Manavinezhad underwent knee ligament surgery.
The Iranian outsider spiker underwent the operation in Rome, performed by specialist Professor Pierpaolo Mariani.
The player suffered an injury in the match against Verona in SuperLega and MRI showed that he has a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Therefore, Manavinezhad will be out of action for more than six months.
This means the SuperLega is over for this Iranian star and he cannot even play in the Volleyball Nations League for the Iranian national volleyball team.
