Lucas Alcaraz Nominated to Lead Nassaji
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Nassaji football club has reportedly opened negotiations with Spanish coach Luis Lucas Alcaraz González.
Alcarez, 57, most recently headed the Spanish football club Ibiza.
Nassaji parted company with Mehdi Rahmati on Wednesday.
The Iranian top-flight team suffered a 4-0 loss against Esteghlal on Tuesday and the 40-year-old coach stepped down from his role.
Rahmati had replaced Spanish coach Carlos Inarejos in the Ghaemshahr-based team in June.
Under the leadership of the former Iran and Esteghlal goalkeeper, Nassaji failed to book a place in the 2023 AFC Champions League next round.
