Persepolis Defender Hanonov Suffers Injury in National Duty
TEHRAN (Tasnim)– Persepolis and Tajikistan football team defender Vahdat Hanonov sustained a foot injury during the match against Saudi Arabia.
The Central Asian team shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabia on Tuesday in Dushanbe at the 2026 FIFA World Cup preliminaries and the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027.
Hanonov was forced to leave the field in the 35th minute due to the injury.
The MRI scan will determine the extent of the injury.
