Sepahan Battles Back to Defeat Malavan: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team defeated Malavan 2-1 in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Sunday.
Mohammad Reza Soleymani put Malavn into the lead in the 11th minute but Ramin Rezaeian leveled the score from the penalty spot in the first half’s added time.
Shahriyar Moghanlou was on target in the 73rd minute to seal a 2-1 win for the visiting team.
Zob Ahan also defeated Aluminum 2-1 in Isfahan.
With six weeks remaining, Sepahan sits third with 45 points, eight points adrift of leader Esteghlal.
