Over 125,000 Tons of Kiwi, Citrus Fruits Exported from Iran’s Mazandaran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at the agricultural organization of Mazandaran province said that 125,700 tons of the kiwi and citrus fruits have been exported from this northern province of Iran since the current Iranian calendar year started (March 20, 2024).

In this period, more than 76,000 tons of orange and over 25,000 tons of tangerine were exported from Mazandaran province, Head of Agricultural Organization of Mazandaran province Babak Mo’meni stated.

He went on to say that more than 101,000 tons of citrus fruits and over 24,000 tons of kiwi fruit were exported from this northern province.

Mo’meni noted that 10,256 tons of kiwi fruit were exported from Mazandaran province to India, according to Mehr news agency. 

More than 48,000 tons of orange were exported from this province last year (ended March 19, 2024), he said, adding that over 13,000 tons of tangerine were also exported from this northern province overseas in this period.
