Iran’s Mazandaran Exports over 10,000 Tons of Goods

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The observer of the customs offices of Iran’s Mazandaran province said more than 10,000 tons of goods have been exported from the customs office of this northern province to different countries since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2024).

Speaking during a visit to Noshahr Customs, Amir Jamshidi noted that the export of products from Noshahr Customs has witnessed considerable growth in this period.

More than 10,000 tons of goods including apple puree and concentrate, kiwi fruit and cement, valued at more than $3 million, were exported from Noshahr Customs to Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, registering a 207 and a 111 percent growth in weight and value respectively compared to the same period a year earlier.

In this period, various kinds of products, valued at $54 million, were imported into Noshehr Customs Office, he said, adding that Noshehr Customs imported products from Armenia, Russia, China, Oman, Belarus and Slovakia.

Interacting with other concerned organizations active in the field of trade to accelerate the process of customs clearance is essential, he said, adding that the considerable growth of the revenues of Noshahr Customs in this period is evidence for this, Mehr news agency reported.
