Iran’s Rasouli, Hadadi Win Gold, Silver in Discus Throwing: 2022 Asian Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian discus throwers Hossein Rasouli and Ehsan Hadadi won a gold and a silver medal, respectively in the 2022 Asian Games on Monday.

Rasouli, 24, claimed his first Asian Games gold medal with a throw of 62.04 meters.

Hadadi, four-time Asian Games gold medal winner came second with 61.82 meters.

China’s Tuergong Abuduaini took the bronze with 61.19 meters.

A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
