France Wins 2023 World Women's Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – France exacted revenge on Norway at the 2023 World Women's Handball Championship, beating it 31-28 in Herning, Denmark on Sunday.
The match was a repeat of the 2021 final with the French turning the tables on the defending champion to claim its third world title and deny Norway its fifth global crown.
Denmark also claimed a bronze medal after edging past Sweden 28-27.
Iran had finished in 31st place in the prestigious competition.
