Israeli Forces Raid Palestinian Refugee Camps in Occupied West Bank: Report
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces conducted more raids on refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, as reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa on Sunday morning.
According to the news agency, a Palestinian individual was subjected to Israeli assault during the raid on the Al-Arroub refugee camp, situated near Hebron (Al-Khalil) and two Palestinians were apprehended.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces, during a raid on the Balata refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, shot and killed a Palestinian man, as confirmed by the Wafa news agency, citing medical sources. Additionally, a 16-year-old Palestinian boy sustained injuries and was subsequently transported to a hospital by the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
Earlier reports from Al Jazeera Arabic indicated clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces in Balata, marking one of the numerous overnight Israeli raids across the occupied West Bank.
According to the Wafa news agency, Israeli forces have carried out pre-dawn raids across the occupied West Bank, resulting in the arrest of 13 Palestinians. The arrested individuals include two young men from Habla, south of Qalqilya, six Palestinians from the town of Marah Rabah, south of Bethlehem, three young men from the town of Arrabeh, southwest of Jenin, and two Palestinians from the village of Qibya, west of Ramallah.
Wafa further reported that at least one of the men arrested in Arrabeh was subjected to severe beatings by Israeli forces, who also deployed snipers on the rooftops of buildings during the operation.
The intensification of Israeli raids in the West Bank has been noted since the commencement of the Gaza war on October 7, with over 8,600 Palestinians arrested over the past seven months.
